Dear (columnist’s name),

Thanks for sending the article. It was a good read.

But before we can publish it, we need you to format it our way.

Here’s a sample article on our portal: (Link to your sample article)

You will notice that we have given a blurb (text in bold directly after the heading), sub-headings, and a caption. In your forthcoming articles, is it possible for you, or your writers, to provide these three vital components of our articles?

Plus, we use title case in headings and sub-headings.

Kindly encase the sub-headings with html tags to make them bold, like this: <strong>sub-heading</strong>

For you to understand the components of our articles, we have attached a little tutorial.

Our policy is to carry the outgoing link at the end of the article, like you have given in the brief on you. But in that brief, we need you to link out using proper html code. Like this: <a href=”URL”>link text</a>

Waiting on your reply to publish the article.

Regards,

Cosmos Writers Editorial Team

Dear Stewart,

Can you send a 400-words article on “Top 5 Tax Mistakes Americans Make”?

We shall be happy to review—and publish—it for our portal, if you offer it exclusively for The Journeyer.

Our target audiences are lay U.S. people who don’t understand the intricacies, technical terms, and jargon of the taxation world. Just keep that in mind and you can’t go wrong.

Link back to your site, or inclusion of your Web site’s URL, is quite possible, long as the article is unique and original. Also, we carry the outgoing link at the end of the article, in the brief on the writer; we don’t, as a matter of policy, provide outgoing link in the beginning of the article.
If you like to regularly contribute such articles, we can discuss a few subjects for you to work on. In the beginning, you can send the write-ups in our email, but as we consistently receive interesting articles from you for a fortnight or so, we will create a contributor’s account for you.

Regards,
